d’QM is well known for its extensive tort defense litigation practice. d’QM represents corporate and business clients, as well as government entities, against a variety of claims including negligence and/or personal injury, premises liability/premises security, automobile liability, false arrest, malicious prosecution, and toxic torts. As a result of our firm’s experience in these areas, d’QM’s lawyers are consistently confronted with related issues such as indemnification and corporate successor liability.
d’QM also specializes in the defense of products liability claims on behalf of manufacturers and distributors. Our attorneys have defended claims involving, among other things, construction equipment, food products, vehicles, recreational equipment, and industrial machinery. In addition to claims involving defects in retail consumer products, d’QM also has extensive experience representing companies in the Food and Beverage Industry in cases including claims involving food borne illnesses, infestation, warning labels and/or duty to warn, general liability arising out of trucking incidents, and food licensing agreement disputes.
d’QM’s practice primarily encompasses working directly with self-insured corporate clients. We look beyond the merits of the case to consider the overall cost of litigation and when appropriate, consider alternate methods to resolve disputes. We perform robust evaluations of cases early on to determine if cases are appropriate for early resolution and what is needed to potentially resolve the case so that unnecessary fees and expense are not incurred. Additionally, several of our attorneys previously practiced in corporate legal departments, so we understand our clients’ voice in terms of their business and legal objectives.
